In October of 2005, when Peace & A Cup of Joe opened its doors, the goal was to create a peaceful relaxing, home away from home atmosphere. A destination place where Baltimoreans and travelers, from all walks of life could come and share a thought of two, people of all ages and ethnicities could come and study, hold a business meeting, share a smile, create a spark of emotion, relax, meet friends, host a party or just find refuge in a place of solace; and we’ve done just that.
Around the world cafes and coffee shops are the place to go and connect with people. A hub for finding out what’s happening in and around town, a place where the best coffee from around the world can be enjoyed and shared, or an appetite can be satisfied with a delicious meal or pastry. This is what Peace & a Cup of Joe invests in, represents, serves, and delivers. We invest in our community by supporting environmental efforts for a greener city, providing jobs for local residents, offering discounts to our public servants and supporting local charities sponsored by local and state government and the private sector.
The café offer two seating areas. The main area features our open kitchen, where you can wittiness our two chefs or Baristas creating each order personally for each customer. Our main seating area is comprised of bistro chairs and tables, a few lounge chairs for your comfort, and dining tables and chairs with enough space to enjoy a meal and or study. Our upper level features lounge chairs and couches as well as a few dining table and chairs. This space can be utilized for comfortable conversation, a quite study session for two or more, a gathering for a book club, or even a baby/wedding shower.
So at Peace & A Cup of Joe, customers are guaranteed a relaxing calm atmosphere, a friendly and welcoming smile, a great cup of coffee or espresso drink, as well as a great meal made with the freshest ingredients from local bakeries and farms; and of course the best customer service the city can offer.
So as we always say “When you’re not at home you’re at home with Peace & A Cup of Joe”.
